Simple Socks $2
OnLine socksSimple is good.

Simple is soothing.

Simple is what you want after a long day when you really want to knit but you don’t want to think or when you have fun self-patterning yarn and want a pattern that will allow the yarn to speak for itself.

However, this pattern is not entirely mindless. The heel flap features a garter stitch edge paired with the heel stitch. This gives a nice detail along the edge of the heel with a cushy center.

Cubes and Cables Anklet $5
Cubes & Cables Anklet heel
Hey, Sock Knitter!

Are you fatigued by heel flaps?

Sick of short rows?

Then the attractive and unique Cuban Heel is for you!

The heel increases are worked in continuous rounds with the instep, eliminating the need to pick up and decrease gusset stitches.

The Cubes and Cables Anklets pattern provides stitch counts at crucial points in the construction so you can be sure you are on the right track. However, some experience in turning a heel is assumed as only the first four rows of the procedure are spelled out.

Featuring an attractive mock cable rib pattern, the sock will comfortable fit a range of feet ranging from 7 inches to 9 inches in circumferences. Since it is a “mock” cable, you get all the beauty of a cable, without the fuss of using an extra needle. The rounded lines are continued in the short-row toe.

The sample is shown in Sheepfeet yarn from Sheep Shop Yarn Company in the Lime colorway.
This yarn comes in 218 yard skeins, so the pattern specifies a 3 inch leg. To make a taller leg, an additional skein should be purchased. Any yarn which can achieve a stockinette stitch gauge of 6 sts/inch on a US3 and 6.5 sts/inch on a US2 should suffice.

Don’t allow yourself to be boxed in by traditional heel flaps any longer! This pattern will guide you in learning this fun, new technique.

Eyelet and Feather Scarf $4

Free Pattern! Mini Teddy Bear Sweater
teddy sweater This sweater will fit a mini teddy bear who is about 4 inches tall sitting and has about a 4 1/2 inch belly.

This would be a good pattern for using up scraps of sock yarn as it only required about 4 grams.
Sorry, don’t know the yardage, but if you have this yarn at home it used about one entire repeat.
